The incident occurred during the night of 10–11 November when a 16‑year‑old asked a taxi driver to take him to a petrol station after leaving a club. When the driver refused, he reportedly grabbed the driver’s jacket, threatening, “If you don’t drop me off, I’ll walk alone.” He then attempted to strike the driver, but she managed to exit the vehicle and take the keys.
Volunteer Account
The volunteer from the Leszno Foundation for Ukraine stated that her mother, a taxi driver, was to be beaten by the teenager. The volunteer recounted the teenager’s harsh threats, including, “J****a szmato, s********j to Ukraine,” as he tried to seize her jacket and move her to the driver’s seat.
Police Response
Monika Żymełka of the Leszno municipal police confirmed that officers received a report of the assault. The case is described as multi‑faceted. An X‑ray indicated an irregular radiolucency in the back section of the right rib, possibly a non‑displaced fracture. The victim suffered bruises and is in a “terrible psychological state.”
