A new Deloitte report reveals that Polish Millennials and Gen Z are struggling with financial instability, housing shortages, and intense anxiety over global geopolitical tensions and the ongoing threat of war.
The Reality of Financial Precarity
Living from one paycheck to the next is the reality for 46 percent of Millennials and 41 percent of Gen Z, as they struggle to make ends meet. Rising costs of living are cited as a primary concern by 39 percent of Millennials and 32 percent of Gen Z, according to findings from the WP Finanse portal citing the Deloitte report.
Geopolitical Anxiety and Deferred Life Plans
Unlike their global peers, Polish respondents are significantly more worried about war and geopolitical tensions. These concerns are shared by 32 percent of Gen Z and 36 percent of Millennials, figures nearly double the global average.
Financial pressures are forcing a majority of these generations to delay major life milestones. Roughly 59 percent of Gen Z and 52 percent of Millennials reported postponing decisions such as starting a family, pursuing further education, or launching a business.
The Impact of the Housing Crisis
Access to housing remains a critical issue for younger generations. Data shows that 71 percent of Gen Z and 52 percent of Millennials believe that the availability and cost of housing are actively dictating their life and career choices.
Methodology of the Study
This study marks the 15th iteration of Deloitte’s global report on the sentiments of Millennials and Gen Z. Between November 2025 and January 2026, researchers surveyed 22,600 people globally, including hundreds of participants from Poland.
