The M1 metro line will operate on a reduced schedule Tuesday, May 12, with trains running between Młociny and Stokłosy due to track expansion at Kabaty station.
Route Reduction and Bus Replacement
Late on Tuesday evening, May 12, the M1 metro line will run on a shortened route. Trains will travel between Młociny and Stokłosy. The section from Stokłosy to Kabaty will be closed to traffic for the remainder of the service day.
A replacement bus line, ZM1, will be established on the route between Kabaty and Ursynów station. The buses will operate along Aleja Komisji Edukacji Narodowej.
Schedule Changes and Rationale
The last trains on the M1 line’s full route will depart just before 11:00 PM. This applies to both the journey from Kabaty towards Młociny and the trip from Stokłosy towards Kabaty. After these departures, the final metro station in Ursynów will be Stokłosy.
The change in metro service is due to construction work on the track system expansion at Kabaty station (A1). Previous work focused on site organization, utility relocation, including telecommunication networks, and tunnel fencing.
Testing and Extended Work
The next phase involves modifications to external traffic control equipment on track number 3 at Kabaty station. These modifications are necessary to allow trains to reverse on both sidings during the renovation.
Following the technical work, test runs will be required to confirm the correct execution of the work and the proper functioning of all equipment. The overnight metro closure would be too short to complete the full scope of work, necessitating an earlier suspension of train service on a portion of the route.
