Two men found dead in a Wolsztyn hotel on the night of 2 October, with preliminary reports pointing to murder and suicide.
Deaths of a 25‑Year‑Old Woman and a 28‑Year‑Old Man in Wolsztyn
The Polish news channel TVN24 received a call the night of Thursday, 2 October, shortly after midnight from a worried woman who had been unable to reach her 25‑year‑old friend. The woman had travelled to a hotel in Wolsztyn to meet her boyfriend. Police arriving at the scene discovered the woman dead and a 28‑year‑old man injured. He was taken to hospital, where he died around 3 a.m.
Police chief Maciej Borowski reported that the woman had died from numerous wounds inflicted by a sharp‑bladed instrument. The man’s body also showed knife wounds, and forensic examinations, scheduled for Monday, 6 October, will determine the precise cause of death.
Victims Known Each Other, Were a Couple
The prosecutor confirmed that the 28‑year‑old and the 25‑year‑old were a couple. The man had come to Wolsztyn to hand over her belongings, and the two met at the hotel. Early investigations suggest that the man killed the woman and then took his own life. He had no prior convictions but had been noted for involvement in fights.
According to the news outlet Fakt, the couple had been together for about ten months, but the woman had planned to break up with him that very day.
Deceased 28‑Year‑Old Was a Popular TikToker
The 28‑year‑old was a well‑known internet creator from Warsaw, active on TikTok and YouTube under the pseudonym “Jagodzianka.” He gained popularity by appearing in videos filmed at a pawnshop in Dresden, published by the channel “Pan z Lombardu.” Damian Iwańczuk, host of that channel, expressed his grief: “Patryk ‘Jagodzianka,’ known from our videos, has died… unimaginable tragedy… condolences to the family.”
