The body of missing 34‑year‑old Marek K. was discovered in a buried bag at a cemetery in Żytn, Katowice, after DNA tests confirmed his identity.

Discovery of Buried Body

The body of the missing 34‑year‑old Marek K. was found wrapped in a bag and submerged in chemicals in the grave of an older woman in the cemetery of Żytn, Katowice. DNA testing confirmed the identity, while the corpse was in advanced decomposition, precluding an autopsy.

Kidnapped by Pseudob Fans of GKS Katowice

Marek K. was reportedly kidnapped on 19 September by members of a fan group associated with the GKS Katowice football club. Prior to his death he had been convicted of drug trafficking, served time in prison, and had close ties to the fan community until that week.

Kidnapping and Murder Timeline

On 19 September, a woman’s son answered a rang tone at Marek’s apartment and, claiming to be “someone from Marek”, prompted the victim to leave the building barefoot and never return. Witnesses later stated the victim was bound and forced into a vehicle, taken to a forest, beaten, and then moved to a derelict house in Kłobuck where he was executed with blows and a stun gun.

Witness Accounts and Police Action

A witness testified that the victim was restrained and driven to the forest before being assaulted. Police have detained three suspects, though authorities say additional accomplices may join the arrest list, and one suspect is cooperating with investigators.
