Macron Mobilizes French Rafale Jets After Russia Attacks Poland

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on social media that he is mobilizing three French Rafale fighter jets to support Poland’s air defense and eastern European flank following a Russian drone incursion into Polish airspace.

Decision to Mobilize Jets

Macron informed Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki of his decision yesterday, stating that the move aligns with NATO’s collective defense commitment. He emphasized that European continent security is a top priority and that France will not yield to Russia’s increasing intimidation tactics.

Collaboration with Allies

The French President also discussed the matter with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is actively engaged in protecting Europe’s eastern flank alongside France.
