A serious attic fire erupted in Kajetany on March 14, requiring 11 firefighting units to extinguish the blaze.
Fire Breaks Out in Residential Building
On Saturday, March 14, around 13:30, a fire broke out in the attic of a residential building on Brzozowa Street in the village of Kajetany, Pruszków County. The fire affected approximately 300 square meters of the attic space.
Residents Evacuate Safely
Even before the arrival of the fire brigade, residents evacuated from the building. Thanks to this quick action, no one was injured in the incident, although the building itself suffered significant damage.
Large-Scale Firefighting Response
Firefighters from Pruszków as well as volunteer fire brigades from nearby towns were dispatched to the scene. At the peak of the operation, a total of 11 fire protection units were fighting the fire.
Long Operation to Secure Property
The firefighting operation lasted several hours and required significant resources. After 17:00, the fire was completely under control, but services remained at the scene. Firefighters then focused on securing the damaged roof using tarpaulins to protect the building from further weather damage.
No Casualties but Serious Damage
No injured or affected persons were reported in the fire. However, the damage to the building is extensive, and emergency services’ operations continued even after the fire was extinguished to fully secure the property.
