A significant water main rupture occurred on Saturday, February 21st, shortly before 9:00 AM. The leak caused water to erupt to a height of approximately 20 meters.
Official Response
Renata Krężel, spokesperson for Krakow’s Municipal Heat and Power Company (MPEC), confirmed the incident involved a pipeline break and subsequent leak. She stated that repair crews were dispatched to the location.
The City of Krakow reported the incident occurred near Opolska Street 100, affecting two lanes of traffic heading towards Katowice.
