President’s Involvement in WOŚP
Polish presidents have traditionally supported the activities of the Jerzy Owsiak Foundation, either by donating items for charity auctions or by engaging in other supportive activities.
Recent Presidential Contributions
In 2023 President Andrzej Duda auctioned silver cufflinks set with onyx and an eagle motif along with a card. His wife, Agata Kornhauser‑Duda, donated an elegant black-and-white business outfit that included a long turquoise silk dress.
In 2012, the presidential couple became honorary patrons of the 20th Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, and President Bronisław Komorowski together with the first lady donated a weekend stay at the presidential residence in Wiśle for auction.

According to an SW Research poll for Onet, 57.4% of respondents think the new president Karol Nawrocki should support WOŚP activities, indicating most people expect the tradition to continue. 18.3% believe a politician should not support the nationwide campaign, while 24.3% had no opinion on the matter.

The poll reveals a clear expectation from the public that Karol Nawrocki will continue the precedent set by his predecessors by backing WOŚP.
