Man Arrested for Adding Substance to Co‑worker’s Lemonade

A 40‑year‑old restaurant employee was arrested in Warsaw after adding a harmful substance to a colleague’s lemonade, allegedly to lift her mood, prompting charges of endangering life.

Incident at the Restaurant

A woman reported that a colleague from their shared restaurant mixed a lemonade for her. Shortly after drinking it, she felt ill and noticed rapid changes in her behavior and physical state.

Alleged Substance Addition

The accused allegedly added a substance to the lemonade without the victim’s knowledge or consent, which supposedly caused her psychophysical distress.

Arrest and Charge

Criminal police swiftly detained the 40‑year‑old, who claimed he only wanted her to feel happier. He faces a charge of exposing her to direct danger of loss of life or serious injury.

Prosecutor’s Measures

The Warsaw‑Praga South district prosecutor placed him under police supervision and prohibited him from approaching or contacting the victim. The case is overseen by the same prosecutor’s office.
