Criminal Investigation Leads to Arrest
Ostrowiec police from the criminal investigation unit arrested a man who damaged windows in an apartment building and stairwell by firing a pneumatic weapon.
The incident came to light last Friday, March 13th, when police received reports of several windows being damaged over recent weeks on one of Ostrowiec’s streets.
Suspect Apprehended, Weapon Seized
Within hours of the report, investigators detained a 52-year-old resident of the Ostrowiec powiat (county). At the time of his arrest, the man had a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.4 per mille.
Police also seized a pneumatic weapon of the ASG type along with ammunition.
Charges Filed
After sobering up, the 52-year-old was charged with damaging windows in apartments and the stairwell by firing a pneumatic weapon, an offense punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
