Man Celebrates Men’s Day, Then Caught Driving with Almost 2 Permile Alcohol

Police in Mszczonów, Poland, arrested a 35-year-old man on March 12 after he was found driving with nearly 2 permille of alcohol in his system.

Arrest Details

On Thursday, March 12, after 4 PM in Mszczonów, traffic police from Żyrardów stopped a Fiat driver for a routine check. Officers detected alcohol on the man during their conversation.

A breathalyzer test revealed that the 35-year-old resident of Mszczonów had almost 2 permille of alcohol in his system.

Driver’s Explanation

The driver admitted to consuming alcohol earlier, explaining his behavior by the celebrations of Men’s Day. The man was detained and taken to the Żyrardów police station where further procedures were carried out.

Legal Consequences

Officers also confiscated his driver’s license. For driving a mechanical vehicle while intoxicated, the 35-year-old faces up to 3 years in prison, a high fine, and a ban on driving vehicles.
