A 29-year-old man from Raciąż has been charged with the cruel murder of his 72-year-old grandmother and 86-year-old grandfather.
Charges Filed
29-year-old Aleksander G. was interrogated at the District Prosecutor’s Office in Płońsk for nearly five hours. According to TVN24, he was charged with the murder with particular cruelty of his grandparents. Aleksander G. confessed and described the events in detail. The bodies of the victims had cut, chopped and crushed wounds. The prosecutor’s office reported finding “sharp-edged, blunt-edged and chopping tools” at the crime scene.
The 29-year-old will undergo examination for insanity.
112 Call Led to Discovery
Before 11 PM on Wednesday, a man from Raciąż in Płońsk county called the 112 emergency number, claiming he had killed two people and requested police to come to the scene. Police found the bodies of a 72-year-old woman and 86-year-old man in the single-family home. The 29-year-old, who had notified authorities, was present at the scene and was detained by police while sober.
Arrest Request and Family History
The prosecutor’s office will request an arrest for Aleksander G., with the court potentially deciding on the matter by Friday. This marks another family tragedy in recent years. In 2019, Aleksander G.’s father killed his 42-year-old wife and is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence.
