Man Dies in Radom County House Fire; Helicopter Rescue Attempted

A 33-year-old man died Wednesday after a fire broke out in a wooden house in Małomierzyce, Radom County, Poland.

Fire Department Response

Firefighters from Radom County received a report of a fire at a wooden house in Małomierzyce, Iłża commune, at 5:32 PM on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, firefighters initiated firefighting and rescue operations, finding the wooden structure engulfed in flames.

Rescue and Reanimation Efforts

Firefighters evacuated an unconscious man from inside the house who showed no signs of life.

Resuscitation efforts were immediately started by firefighters and paramedics, continuing for an extended period.

Fatality Confirmed

Despite reanimation attempts, the 33-year-old man could not be saved; a doctor on scene confirmed his death.

Ongoing Operations and Investigation

Seven fire crews are involved in the operation, alongside a medical rescue team and a crew from the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (Ratownik 5).

Police will conduct further investigations under the supervision of the prosecutor after the firefighting and rescue operations are completed. The cause and circumstances of the fire are currently unknown.
