Protest amid Gaza solidarity

About 100 demonstrators gathered on Al. Szucha Avenue on Oct 2, chanting slogans demanding support for the Gaza Strip and calling on Polish authorities to respond to Israel’s seizure of the international humanitarian flotilla.

Vandal acts disrupt foreign ministry

During the rally, a 23‑year‑old man used a hammer to break a blast‑proof glass pane on the ministry’s entrance, and another person sprayed the doorway with red paint.

Arrests and police response

Polish police intervened, detaining the man and the woman suspected of property damage. Officers restored order amid limited vandalism incidents.

Context: International flotilla raid

The event follows Israel’s nighttime raid on the Global Sumud flotilla, which included Polish participants such as MP Franciszek Sterczewski. Polish authorities have taken the boats to Ashdod and are providing consular assistance.
