At about 16:40 on Haller Square in Warsaw’s Praga‑North district, a 30‑year‑old man fell from a sixth‑floor balcony onto the sidewalk, was critically injured and later reanimated in hospital.
Emergency Response
Policemen were called to a flat on Haller Square for a family‑intervention request. Upon arrival, they entered the apartment with the help of a family member while a 30‑year‑old man was present on the sixth‑floor balcony.
The man suddenly fell from the balcony onto the sidewalk in front of the building. The fall from such a height onto a paved surface caused severe injuries.
Firefighters were the first to arrive, initiating CPR and calling the medical rescue team. After the rescue team arrived, resuscitation continued until the man was stabilized and transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Scene Secured and Investigation Ongoing
During rescue operations, traffic was halted in the vicinity of Haller Square and the street was blocked. Three fire crews and a medical rescue team worked at the scene.
The area was secured with tape. Police will investigate the exact circumstances and causes of the fall.
