A man fell onto the tracks at the Trocka station on Warsaw’s Metro Line 2 around 9 PM on March 20, causing service delays.
Incident at Trocka Station
On Friday, March 20, around 9 PM, a dangerous incident involving a passenger occurred at the Trocka station on Warsaw’s Targówek district’s Line 2 metro.
The man fell onto the tracks and sustained a head injury.
Cause of the Fall
Preliminary findings indicate the man was walking on the platform when, for reasons currently unknown, he failed to notice the end of the platform and fell onto the tracks.
Emergency Response
Police officers were the first to provide assistance to the injured man. Paramedics then took over the medical care.
Two fire department crews were also dispatched to the scene. Metro traffic on that section of the line was suspended for approximately fifteen minutes due to the operation.
Service Disruptions
WTP (Warsaw Public Transport) reported disruptions to Line M2 metro service due to the incident with a passenger at the TROCKA station, with possible delays.
The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
