March 8th Marches in Warsaw to Cause Traffic and Public Transport Disruptions

Two public gatherings with marches scheduled for March 8th in central Warsaw will cause street closures and transportation reroutes.

Where will disruptions occur on March 8th?

The first gathering will begin at 11:00 at Dmowski Roundabout. A march is then planned through Marszałkowska, Królewska, through Piłsudski Square and Krakowskie Przedmieście to the Presidential Palace. The gathering at the Palace may last until 17:00.

March to de Gaulle Roundabout

The second gathering is scheduled for 13:00 at Union of Lublin Square. From there, a march will also begin. Participants will march through Marszałkowska, through Zbawiciela and Constitution Squares, Piękna, Wiejska, through Three Crosses Square, and then Nowy Świat to de Gaulle Roundabout. Organizers have planned the event until 18:00.

Both gatherings will be secured by police officers. Officers will decide which streets will be closed along the march routes.

Public Transportation Changes

During the gatherings, tram lines 4, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, K and bus lines 106, 107, 108, 111, 116, 117, 118, 127, 128, 131, 151, 158, 159, 166, 175, 178, 180, 502, 503, 507, 514, 517, 520, 521 and 525 will travel via the nearest available routes.

Additionally, tram lines 7, 9, 22 and 24 in the Śródmieście area will terminate at Starzyńskiego Square. On Praga, lines 7 and 22 will go to Wiatraczna Roundabout via Washington Avenue, while lines 9 and 24 will reach the loop at Zielonocka Avenue.
