Masked Attackers Break into Spanish Fan Bus on S8

Ten people were injured when masked assailants broke into a bus carrying Spanish supporters on the S8 route between Warsaw and Białystok overnight on 10–11 December.

Victims: nine Spaniards and one Pole wounded

Police report that nine Spanish passengers and one Polish passenger sustained injuries, with three of them taken to hospitals for treatment.

Assailants: about forty men armed with hammers and telescopic batons

The attackers, who wore masks, used metal hammers and telescopic batons to strike passengers after forcing the bus to stop.

Police find club memorabilia on the scene

Police recovered scissors for cutting wire and scarves bearing the colors of Jagiellonia Białystok in the vehicles used by the assailants.

Perpetrators’ escape route: service road near Ostrovia Mazowiecka

Investigators say the attackers had parked two cars on the service road adjacent to the S8, cut through the fence to reach the highway, and fled after assaulting the passengers.
