Masovian Voivodeship to Conduct Siren Tests Under RCB Alert

On Monday, the Masovian Voivodeship Office announced that from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. the region will run “Syrena-25” siren tests under a Government Security Center alert.

Test Schedule

The Masovian Voivodeship Office announced that on Monday, December 15, the “Syrena-25” siren tests will commence. Exercises will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. across the entire voivodeship. The office stated, “This is only a test! Please remain calm and take no action.”

How the Test Will Proceed

During the drill, acoustic signals will be emitted: a continuous siren sound lasting one minute for announcing and cancelling the alarm. Signals are to test the alarm and warning system and internal response procedures in the voivodeship. A separate airborne threat warning test is scheduled for December 18, running from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; sirens should sound once at the start and once at the end.

Alarm Signal Features

In the event of a threat, a three‑minute modulated signal announces the alarm, followed by a spoken warning repeated three times: “Attention! Attention! Attention! I announce an alarm… for…”. The visual alarm is a yellow triangle. Cancellation is signaled by a three‑minute continuous sound, again with a three‑time spoken warning “Attention! Attention! Attention! I cancel the alarm… for…”. Nationwide alerts for country‑wide threats are decided by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration. The siren sound can be listened to on the Government Security Center website.
