During a Sejm meeting on 5 November, opposition MP Grzegorz Napieralski blasted Dariusz Matecki for threatening to murder Polish officials, demanding his removal from the chamber.
Sejm Session: Napieralski Accuses Matecki of Murder Threats
Opposition lawmaker Grzegorz Napieralski, a KO member, criticized Dariusz Matecki in the 5 November Sejm session for threatening to kill and murder Polish officials. He urged party members to exclude the MP from the club, highlighted remarks about the “wall behind Polish uniform” and called upon the Sejm marshal to refer the case to the ethics committee. He concluded that Matecki should not be allowed into the parliamentary chamber.
Matecki Responds with Criticism and Threatening Statements
Matecki replied to Napieralski’s accusations by calling him a “red liar fool.” He explained that he had not said what was alleged, but he had warned that if someone with political asylum in Hungary was allowed, other countries, including NATO members, could not send armed asylum seekers. He described how Polish police and armed forces would have to defend such asylum seekers and, if necessary, eliminate criminal elements attempting to breach Polish law.
Justice Minister Addresses Shadow Hunters and Possible Extradition
On 31 October, Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek was asked on Radiu ZET about the possibility of Zbigniew Ziobro fleeing to Hungary. He said that special groups of “shadow hunters” in the police may pursue fugitives, and if asylum is granted, it would be a political decision by Viktor Orbán, a close ally of Putin. He questioned whether Ziobro, a symbolic figure for some political group, would engage indirectly with Orbán and Putin.
