Mazda Crashes into Barriers and Toyota on Wet Overpass

A two-car collision occurred on the Płowiecka Street overpass heading toward Mokotów on Saturday, May 16, at approximately 4:00 PM, after a driver lost control on the rain-slicked road.

Collision Details

The incident involved a Mazda and a Toyota on the exit ramp from Płowiecka Street to the Siekierkowska Route. Fortunately, no injuries were reported following the crash.

Causes and Police Response

Initial findings indicate the Mazda driver failed to adjust their speed to the slippery road conditions caused by heavy rain throughout the day. The vehicle first struck the barriers before colliding with the Toyota traveling in the same direction.

Police officers arrived at the scene to determine the circumstances of the accident. The driver of the Mazda was issued a fine for their role in the collision.

Road Safety Concerns

This particular overpass is known to be hazardous during wet weather. Drivers are advised to exercise increased caution, particularly on curves and exit ramps where a loss of traction can quickly lead to contact with barriers or other vehicles.
