Melania Trump Hosts Global AI in Education Summit

First Lady Melania Trump opened a two-day international summit in Washington D.C. focused on artificial intelligence in education, with Poland’s First Lady Marta Nawrocka among the attendees.

Summit Inauguration and Focus

U.S. First Lady Melania Trump inaugurated the two-day summit of the “Shaping the Future Together” international coalition in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, dedicated to education using artificial intelligence.

Participants included spouses of leaders from 48 countries, including Polish First Lady Marta Nawrocka.

Trump Highlights Unprecedented Initiative

During the summit’s inauguration at the U.S. Department of State, Trump emphasized that her initiative, bringing together spouses of leaders and “technology visionaries” from the private sector, is “unprecedented.”

“Our coalition’s mission is to support children by giving them greater access to technology and education. This is a historic moment. Our main goal is to provide young people with what they need to succeed in this rapidly changing world,” stated the U.S. President’s wife.

Promoting Innovation and Collaboration

Trump announced her desire for coalition members to promote “innovative teaching programs,” lobby for legislation enabling better education with technology, and foster public-private partnerships.

Presidential Science Advisor Michael Kratsios noted that AI-focused education is crucial, as “every career path will use AI in some way” in the near future.

Nawrocka’s Participation and Roundtable Discussion

Nawrocka was one of 45 First Ladies and First Gentlemen invited to the summit by Melania Trump. Participants on Tuesday included Olena Zelenska of Ukraine and Sara Netanyahu, wife of the Israeli Prime Minister.

Nawrocka is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, the second day of the event, during a roundtable discussion at the White House alongside, among others, Brigitte Macron, First Lady of France. Representatives from technology companies, including Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, xAI, and Palantir, are also attending the summit.
