A new city pool building with a sports hall, stands and a rooftop garden is slated for construction on Ostródzka Street in Białołęka, with completion targeted for the second half of 2027.
Project Overview
A modern sports‑recreation complex will be erected on Ostródzka Street in eastern Białołęka, adding a city‑owned pool next to the existing one on Światowida Street. The new facility will make Białołęka the third district in Warsaw to possess a municipal swimming pool.
Contract and Investment
On 13 November 2025 the district authorities signed a contract with the consortium led by NDI S.A. and NDI Sopot S.A., with a gross value of approximately 92 million PLN.
Construction Timeline
According to the Warsaw City Office, construction is expected to finish in the second half of 2027. The schedule includes the building, access roads, parking and surrounding land development.
Facilities and Features
The complex’s centerpiece will be a sports‑pool hall that meets Polish and FINA 2021‑2025 standards, allowing competitions from school to national level. A 15‑metre, lattice‑frame tower will combine sport, sauna, slide and lounge areas. All pools will be stainless‑steel to help maintain water quality. The recreation wing will feature a playground, parking, and small architectural elements.
Community Impact
The new facility will provide high‑level sports and recreational opportunities for Białołęka residents and visitors, reducing congestion at other city pools. It will also host school events and community gatherings.
Context Within Warsaw’s Water‑Sport Infrastructure
Warsaw currently operates 29 indoor pools, several of which are under renovation or rebuild. The Białołęka pool will be one of the most modern in the city, supporting Warsaw’s broader plan to upgrade its water‑sports infrastructure.
