Mokotow Heating Network Failure Located, Repair Underway

Repairs to a heating network section on Wołoska Street in Warsaw’s Mokotow district will cause temporary heat supply disruptions from February 5-6, 2026.

Repair Schedule and Affected Addresses

In the area of Wołoska Street 18 on Mokotow, a repair of a heating network section has been planned, which involves a temporary break in heat supply from February 5 (23:30) to February 6, 2026 (23:30). The shutdown includes 15 addresses indicated by the operator, and work is to be carried out continuously.

The operator announces continuous work to restore supplies as quickly as possible.

Failure Discovery and Investigation

According to information provided to the editorial office, the problem in the Wołoska Street area was located already on the evening of Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Only a detailed examination of the heat pipeline, however, allowed to determine the full extent of the damage and the length of the heat pipeline section that needs to be replaced.

About the January 21 failure, it was reported earlier, describing clouds of steam appearing in the Wołoska area near a large shopping center and work being carried out there with heavy equipment.

Public Transportation Impact

In connection with removing the effects of the heating network failure on Wołoska Street, Warsaw Public Transport previously informed about the temporary suspension of the DOMANIEWSKA 01 stop. The change was to take effect from January 26, 2026, at 9:00 AM until further notice and concerned lines: 136, 138, 218 and night lines N01, N33, N34 (without setting up an alternative stop).
