Monster Truck Stopped in Warsaw City Center

Police intervened with a monster truck on Marszałkowska Street in Warsaw around 1 PM today, causing a public spectacle.

Initial Traffic Stop and Questions

An unusual vehicle stopped for inspection on Marszałkowska Street became one of the most noticeable attractions in central Warsaw. Around 13:00, near Domów Towarowych Centrum, police intervened with a monster truck – with a Dodge body and a chassis reportedly manufactured in Poland.

The driver reported that officers initially questioned the legality of operating such a vehicle on public roads. After presenting the required permits and clarifying formal issues, the intervention took a different turn.

Oil Leak and Fine Issued

According to information provided, police discovered a minor oil leak from the vehicle’s rear axle. As a result, the driver received a fine of 200 złoty.

Towing Complications and Public Interest

Based on the owner’s account, police decided to tow the vehicle at the owner’s expense under Article 130a of the Road Traffic Act. A tow truck was called, but standard equipment proved insufficient for the large and heavy vehicle.

A specialized low-loader trailer was required. As of 16:00, both police and the vehicle owner were still waiting for its arrival, leaving the unusual vehicle on Marszałkowska Street, attracting significant public attention.

Spectators and Delays in Official Confirmation

Residents and tourists gathered around the stopped truck, taking photos, videos, and observing the rare sight. Reports from the scene indicated that children were even allowed inside the vehicle, further attracting attention.

As of 17:00, official confirmation of the intervention details from the Warsaw Police Headquarters was unavailable. The matter remains based on the driver’s account and observations from the scene, pending an official statement from authorities.
