Three cars collided on Warsaw’s S2 early Tuesday, blocking lanes and causing major traffic jams toward Poznań.
Collision Details
On Tuesday, February 3, at approximately 06:30, three passenger vehicles collided on the S2 route, specifically on the Southern Bypass of Warsaw, between the Puławska and Warszawa Lotnisko junctions.
According to the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways, the collision blocked three traffic lanes, forcing all traffic onto the left lane only.
Traffic Disruption and Clearance
A significant traffic jam quickly formed in the direction of Poznań. Due to the growing congestion, road authorities closed the entrance to the Ursynów tunnel.
Police arrived at the scene around 07:30 and classified the incident as a collision. Firefighters at the scene moved the damaged vehicles to the side of the road, allowing traffic to flow. Normal traffic on the S2 section was restored by 08:00.
