Poll reveals 11.9% of Poles want Ukraine in the EU immediately, while 21% oppose membership entirely.
Support and Opposition Levels
11.9% of Poles believe Ukraine should join the European Union as soon as possible, even without meeting all requirements. Over one-fifth of respondents, 21%, do not want Ukraine to become a member state at all.
Demographic Divisions
The strongest opposition to Ukraine’s EU accession comes from farmers (46.6% against), those who rate their own material conditions as poor (35.9%), and respondents with right-wing political views (33.6%).
Surprisingly, young adults aged 18–24 are the least enthusiastic age group, with 32.1% opposing membership. Conversely, left-leaning individuals are the most optimistic, with 88.3% supporting accession (69.9% conditionally).
Other groups showing strong support include residents of major cities (77.6% combined), individuals with higher education (77.4%), and those who do not practice religion (75%).
