Mother and Two Daughters Killed in Village Barn: “If This Version Is True, It Must Have Been a Blast”

Residents of Helenów First describe the tragedy in a house near Konin, where a mother and her two daughters were found dead in a barn on September 1st.

Investigation and Outcry

Local residents described the deceased family as very popular, noting that both parents took turns caring for their daughters, often driving them to school and being frequently spotted together. The father ran a local automotive repair shop, which neighbors praised as the best in the area.

One resident said, “The two daughters visited their mother’s shop just last Friday. Seeing them together always warmed our hearts. I never went inside their house, but if the grimmer version about the mother is true, it must have been a sudden blast, not something visible daily.”

Prosecutor’s Statement

Sylwia Lewandowska, the spokesperson for the Konin Procurator’s Office, noted that given the tragic nature of the situation, investigators would not comment further. “Right now, we’re looking at a crime involving the killing of more than one person,” the procurator said, referring to Article 148 of the Polish Penal Code, or killing.
