Mother of Three Dies in Myjomice Fire After Earlier Loss of Son

A 38-year-old woman died from gas poisoning during a house fire in Myjomice, Poland; her disabled 11-year-old son also perished in the blaze.

Fire Incident

A fire broke out around 3:00 PM on Friday at a single-family house on Jeżynowa Street in Myjomice (Kępni County). The parents evacuated their two children, aged 1 and 4, but their 11-year-old disabled son remained inside the building.

Tragic Outcome

The mother attempted to save her disabled son but both lost consciousness due to the rapidly spreading fire. Firefighters rescued them and immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the mother, who was transported to the hospital.

Cause of Death

The 38-year-old woman died from gas poisoning during the fire. Her 11-year-old son could not be saved despite rescue efforts. The fire is believed to have been caused by a malfunctioning photovoltaic installation, and there were no smoke detectors in the house.

Investigation

The circumstances of the incident and the cause of the fire are being investigated by the appropriate authorities. The District Prosecutor’s Office in Kępno has launched an investigation into the case.
