Motorcyclist Found with Nearly 3.3 Promille BAC After Citizen’s Stop

Warsaw police detained a motorcyclist on Mokotów on March 26th after citizens intervened due to erratic driving and a suspected alcohol impairment.

Citizen Intervention on Mokotów Street

On Malczewskiego Street at the intersection with Ignacego Krasickiego Street, drivers stopped a scooter rider who witnesses reported was driving unsteadily and potentially under the influence of alcohol.

The incident occurred today, March 26th, after 1:30 PM in Warsaw’s Mokotów district. Other road users noticed the 125 ccm vehicle’s driver and became concerned about their driving manner.

Police Breathalyzer Results

Police were called to the scene and administered a breathalyzer test to the driver. The test revealed a blood alcohol content of nearly 3.3 promille.

Vehicle Impoundment and Further Action

The man was arrested, and his vehicle was secured and towed to a police parking lot. Further proceedings will be conducted once he has sobered up.

Prevented Road Hazard

The police intervention occurred before the situation could lead to more serious consequences on the road. The ongoing investigation will determine the further course of the case.
