A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital on Monday, May 18, following a collision with a ride-share Toyota Prius at the intersection of Aleje Jerozolimskie and Plac Starynkiewicza in Warsaw.
The Collision Sequence
The incident occurred at 10:05 AM involving a Suzuki GSX-R1000 sportbike and a Toyota Prius operating as an app-based ride-share vehicle. Initial reports indicate the motorcyclist was heading toward the city center when the Toyota, traveling from the opposite direction, attempted a left turn into Plac Starynkiewicza.
The driver of the Toyota allegedly cut off the motorcycle, resulting in a collision that also caused secondary damage to a nearby Skoda. Emergency responders, including the fire brigade, medical teams, and police, were dispatched to the scene.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Firefighters secured the crash site and disconnected the vehicle batteries to prevent fire hazards. The injured motorcyclist received immediate medical attention before being transported to a hospital.
Police confirmed that the foreign national driving the Toyota was sober and possessed a valid driver’s license. Authorities are currently investigating the precise circumstances of the crash.
