Murder of 17‑Year‑Old in Wola Osowińska Leaves 13‑Year‑Old Brother in Juvenile Shelter

On Oct. 29, a 17‑year‑old was fatally stabbed in Wola Osowińska, and the case now involves his 13‑year‑old brother, who is in a juvenile shelter.

Victim Slain by Suspected Brother

The 17‑year‑old was attacked with a kitchen knife while sleeping. Unofficial reports say the assailant, about 13 years old, struck the victim roughly 40 times.

Police and Rescue Respond

Both the victim’s parents were present when the attack occurred. Police and emergency services arrived on the scene; the victim was transported to a hospital where he later died.

Court Orders Juvenile Detention

On Oct. 30, the Lublin District Court announced that the 13‑year‑old would be placed in a juvenile shelter for three months, a temporary measure effective from the date of arrest.

Blood Samples and Interviews Ordered

Blood was taken from the 13‑year‑old to determine if he was under the influence of psychoactive substances at the time of the incident. The Radzyń Podlaski District Court also ordered an environmental interview and planned to question the minor on Thursday.

Neighbors Describe Calm, Normal Boys

A neighbour said, “They were normal boys. Łukasz was older but very protective, and Szymon is just a child.” Another neighbour noted, “They were always together and calm.”
