Discovery of the Body
The body of a 62-year-old man was found at a gas station in Sierakowo, Płońsk County, on the morning of February 5, 2026. According to local media, a driver discovered the body after arriving at the station after 6:00 AM. The man was lying face down on the parking lot, approximately 10 meters from the reporting driver’s vehicle.
Victim Identified
The deceased was identified as a 62-year-old resident of Płock County. He worked as a truck driver for a transport company. At the scene, it was observed that the man had a bloodied face.
Investigation Underway
The Płońsk District Prosecutor’s Office is handling the case. Prosecutor Ewa Ambroziak stated that the cause of death is currently unknown. The physician initially recorded “sudden death of unknown cause” on the death certificate but did not rule out the involvement of third parties. Consequently, an autopsy has been ordered and surveillance footage from the station will be secured.
