A Ukrainian family of seven vanished on 15 December from Władysławowo, and police now say they were discovered in Slovakia after allegations of domestic violence and a planned kidnapping.
Report of disappearance
The Puck County Police Command received a report on Monday about seven Ukrainian citizens who had gone missing. Two adults—a 27‑year‑old woman and a 44‑year‑old man—together with five children aged one to seven were last seen on 15 December near Rzemieślnicza street in Władysławowo (Puck County, Pomeranian Voivodeship).
According to Wirtualna Polska, the case was first reported by an assistant from the Social Assistance Center, and police launched a Level II search because no immediate danger to the family was evident.
Search operations and conclusion
Police announced that the search had been terminated, and a short time later issued a statement confirming the family’s location.
Authorities claimed that the family had been found in Slovakia, thanks to cooperation with the Border Guard Police, and that they were not in danger to their life or health.
Allegations and after‑search developments
Unverified reports from the Fact database suggested violence within the household, causing the parents to have restricted parental rights and resulting in the children being placed in foster care.
Journalists reported that a meeting took place on Monday during which a kidnapping of the parents was allegedly intended.
