The Zamość Police received a report at 10:59 on September 11 about an object found in a wooded area in Stanisławka, Sitno commune.
The police secured the area and notified relevant services and the Lublin District Prosecutor’s Office.
Recent Aerial Incidents Involving Russian Drones
On the night of September 9-10, 19 drones crossed into Polish airspace, with several being intercepted.
Debris from the drones was found in multiple locations, including Czosnówka, Cześniki, Krzywowierzba-Kolonia, Mniszków, Oleśno, Wielki Łan, Wohyń, Wyhalew, Zabłocie-Kolonia, Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą, Bychawka Trzecia, and between Radiany-Sewerynów, Czyżów, Sobótka, and Smyków.
Incident in Wyryki: Clarification on the Object
An object damaged a house in Wyryki, Lublin region, on the night of September 9-10, was initially suspected to be a Russian drone.
However, according to “Rzeczpospolita,” the object was actually a Polish AIM-120 AMRAAM air-to-air missile from an F-16, which experienced a guidance system malfunction.
