NATO Chief Sends Strong Message to Vladimir Putin

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte vowed to protect every inch of NATO territory during a statement following Russia’s drone incursion into allied airspace over Poland.

NATO chief Mark Rutte emphasized the alliance’s resolve to defend its territories after Russian drones entered Polish airspace. “We are determined that we will defend every inch of NATO territory,” he said.

Response to Putin

Rutte also had a direct message for Russian President Vladimir Putin: “My message to Putin is very clear: End the war in Ukraine, stop the escalation that now hits innocent civilians and infrastructure. Do not violate the territories of our allies again.”
