Nawrocki Appeals to Czarzasty: “Unblock the Bills”

On February 13, Karol Nawrocki visited Hajnówka, laid a wreath, and urged Czarzasty to unblock stalled legislation.

SAFE Program Discussion

On Friday, February 13, Karol Nawrocki visited Hajnówka in Podlaskie Voivodeship. He laid a wreath at a monument commemorating Sgt. Mateusz Sitk, who died in an attack in May 2024. He was accompanied by the soldier’s parents and brother. Later, he met with local residents to discuss the SAFE program.

Appeal to Czarzasty

Nawrocki stated, “In discussions about the SAFE program and Poland joining the Peace Council, we must not consider what European elites or Ursula von der Leyen think about Poland’s security. The president’s task is to look at security on the ground in Hajnówka and among the Republic’s guards and determine if SAFE is good or bad for Poland’s development and security.”

Stalled Legislation Details

The president noted “15 frozen bills” in the Sejm, including one reducing income tax to zero for parents of two or more children to address the demographic crisis, a “dignified pension” bill guaranteeing a minimum annual pension increase of 150 zł, and a bill cutting electricity prices by 33%. He appealed: “From Hajnówka, I appeal to the Marshal of the Sejm and all viewers: Let’s translate Poland’s success among the top 20 economies into daily life. Mr. Marshal, unblock the president’s bills—they reflect the voices of Poles.”
