A new United Surveys poll reveals that 44.7% of Polish respondents view President Karol Nawrocki’s meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban negatively.
Nawrocki-Orban Meeting: Public Reaction
44.7% of respondents negatively assessed the meeting between Polish President Karol Nawrocki and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Budapest, according to the latest United Surveys poll for Wirtualna Polska.
36% of respondents viewed the meeting positively.
Breakdown of Negative and Positive Assessments
Specifically, 28.2% of respondents had a decidedly negative view, while 16.5% had a rather negative view. Conversely, 21.4% held a decidedly positive opinion, and 15.1% a rather positive one.
18.9% of those surveyed expressed no opinion on the matter.
Views Among Governing Coalition Voters
Voters of the governing coalition were the most critical of the visit, with 91% assessing the meeting with Orban negatively. No one from this group rated the visit positively, while 5% rated it rather positively.
Views Among Law and Justice Voters
Among voters of Law and Justice (PiS), 83% viewed the meeting between Nawrocki and Orban positively. 6% of PiS voters assessed it negatively, and 1% rather negatively.
Survey Methodology
The survey was conducted by United Surveys by IBRiS for Wirtualna Polska between March 27-29, 2026, on a sample of 1000 people using the CAWI/CATI method.
