Nawrocki Receives Overwhelmingly Negative Approval Rating in Polish Poll

A survey of over 17,000 Polish voters reveals a largely negative assessment of President Karol Nawrocki’s performance since 2025.

Poll Reveals Strong Disapproval of President Nawrocki

A recent poll asked respondents to evaluate the presidency of Karol Nawrocki. The survey was conducted following Nawrocki’s announcement that he would not sign legislation enabling Poland to access the EU’s SAFE loan program, a decision impacting army modernization and sparking political debate.

The most frequent response was a decisively negative assessment.

Results Show Significant Negative Sentiment

70.36% of respondents (12,521 votes) indicated a “definitely negative” opinion of President Nawrocki as of March 16, 2026. “Definitely positive” received 17.80% (3,167 votes). 7.39% chose “rather negative,” while 2.88% selected “rather positive.”

Only 1.57% of participants (280 voters) stated they had “no opinion.”

Background on President Nawrocki

Karol Nawrocki has been President of Poland since 2025. Prior to assuming the presidency, he held leadership positions in several state institutions.

Born on March 3, 1983, in Gdańsk, Nawrocki is a historian with a doctorate in humanities. He served as Director of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk from 2017 to 2021 and as President of the Institute of National Remembrance from 2021 to 2025. Before these roles, he was involved in local government and social activities in Gdańsk, including chairing the Siedlce District Council from 2011 to 2017.
