President Nawrocki said he would not meet Orban in Budapest, citing concerns over the Hungarian leader’s pro‑Russian policies. This decision followed an invitation that was publicly dismissed.
PO Politicians Praise Move
Members of the Polish People’s Party, including Piotr Zgorzelski, praised the decision, saying the President shows he understands the state’s major interests. Minister‑of‑Interior Marcin Kierwiński also welcomed the stance, noting that the President listened to the government’s concerns.
Confederacy Calls Decision a Mistake
