Polish President Karol Nawrocki has been seen wearing apparel with the ‘NOWROCKY’ logo, while the company behind the brand has been identified.
“NOWROCKY” Brand Emerges
President Karol Nawrocki in recent months has begun appearing in public in clothing with the inscription “NOWROCKY”. He had a cap and t-shirt with this logo on, for example, on Saturday during a meeting with Polish athletes participating in the Winter Olympics in Italy.
As Onet.pl points out, in August a store was established that sells clothing and gadgets with this inscription. In this store’s assortment there is also a book by Karol Nawrocki titled “Polska silną historią” (Poland with strong history), and products are advertised on social media using photos of the president.
Ownership and Trademark Details
The owner of the company to which the online store belongs is 33-year-old entrepreneur Maciej Bartasun, previously associated, among others, with the real estate and construction industries.
The company’s proxy is the Gdansk lawyer Adam Soszyński, who admitted in an interview with Onet.pl that he knows Karol Nawrocki and worked for the World War II Museum (the president was director of this institution in 2017-2021). Meanwhile, Karol Nawrocki’s sister registered the “NOWROCKY” trademark in the Patent Office.
Presidential Office Denies Involvement
President Karol Nawrocki and the Presidential Chancellery do not maintain any formal or informal relationship of a marketing or financial nature with the Nowrocky clothing brand – the president’s spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz conveyed in a conversation with Wirtualna Polska.
President Karol Nawrocki or the Presidential Chancellery do not interfere in the activities of a private business entity. The freedom to conduct business activity is guaranteed by the constitution. KPRP does not comment on the private activities of the president’s sister.
