Nearly 1,000 Vehicles Checked and Over 300 Fines Issued in Warsaw’s “Secure Transport” Operation

Warsaw police inspected almost 1,000 vehicles, issuing 310 fines and confiscating 14 licences between 21‑27 October.

Operation Scope and Inspections

Capital police conducted 989 vehicle checks during the week‑long “Secure Transport” operation between 21 and 27 October in Warsaw.

Of the inspected drivers, 24 lacked valid licences, and 310 fines were issued, amounting to over 48,000 PLN.

Additionally, 14 driving licences and 71 registration documents were confiscated.

Foreign Nationals and Illegal Activities

600 of the inspected drivers were foreign nationals, 166 of whom received criminal fines.

Investigations revealed that some were in Poland illegally or were using falsified documents.

Among the drivers were four men under a court‑issued driving ban and four men wanted in the Schengen area from Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Uzbekistan.

Units and Continuity of Operations

Task forces from the Traffic Department, Intelligence‑Patrol Department, Warsaw Prevention Section, and regional capital commands carried out the operation.

These results demonstrate the ongoing need for such patrols, which will be repeated periodically.
