Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated Iran is currently weaker than ever and signaled readiness to resume military action if a deal isn’t reached.
Netanyahu on Iran and Campaign Goals
Netanyahu stated that recent developments are not the end of the campaign but a step towards achieving its objectives.
He asserted that Iran is currently weaker than ever, opening the possibility of concessions – including relinquishing demands related to sanctions, reparations, ending the war, and a ceasefire in Lebanon.
Israel’s Remaining Objectives
Netanyahu emphasized that Israel still has further goals to accomplish, stating they will be achieved either through an agreement or a resumption of fighting.
He underscored Israel’s preparedness to return to combat at any moment, declaring, “The finger is on the trigger.”
Impact on Iran’s Military Capabilities
Netanyahu detailed the perceived successes of the Israeli military, claiming the destruction of Iran’s missile system and its inability to produce new missiles, with existing stockpiles rapidly dwindling.
He also asserted that Israel has significantly impacted Iran’s nuclear program, targeting facilities producing uranium enrichment centrifuges and scientists involved in nuclear energy.
Netanyahu stated that all of Iran’s enriched uranium will be removed from the country “either through an agreement or by force.”
Continued Operations Against Hezbollah
Netanyahu clarified that the ceasefire agreement does not extend to Lebanese Hezbollah, and Israel will continue to conduct attacks against the group.
He claimed that Israel inflicted the largest blow on Hezbollah since September 2024, attacking 100 targets within 10 minutes in locations considered secure by the group.
