New Bill Aims to End Transport Exclusion

Polish government introduces legislative changes to improve public transport and combat transport exclusion with minimum standards.

Legislative Changes Introduced

After last year’s consultations regarding proposals to improve the bus fund and enhance non-urban transport, the Polish government has presented a project of legislative changes.

Focus on Public and Bus Transport

The changes concern two key laws: the law on public transport and the law on the development of bus transport. These are intended to address gaps in the current system.

Fund for Transport Exclusion

The bus development fund will be transformed into a fund specifically aimed at counteracting transport exclusion, ensuring more equitable access to transportation services.

Minimum Transport Standards

New regulations will establish minimum standards for transport services, aiming to improve quality and accessibility across the country.
