Poland’s digital court filing system went live March 1, 2026, with mandatory requirements beginning in 2027.
New Digital Filing System Implemented
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, regulations took effect allowing attorneys to file appeals, objections and other procedural documents through the Courts Information Portal. The new system applies to both civil and criminal proceedings.
Currently, use of the portal is voluntary for lawyers, legal advisors, patent attorneys, prosecutors, and Poland’s General Prosecutor’s Office. This will change on March 1, 2027, when the portal becomes mandatory for all entities.
Legal Professionals Express Concerns
The digitalization initiative has not generated significant enthusiasm among legal representatives. Lawyers report numerous doubts and concerns about the new system.
Some legal professionals believe authorities have created too many communication channels, including the portal, e-delivery systems, the National Register of Debtors, and ePUAP, which complicates their daily work.
