Police Action in Sopot
On Wednesday, January 14th, officers in white overalls appeared at a property on Polna Street in Sopot, reports trojmiasto.pl. A blue police tent and cameras recording the progress of the work were also set up. National Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson Przemysław Nowak stated at the time that police were “conducting evidentiary activities in Sopot in the investigation into an unsolved murder from several years ago.” Wirtualna Polska has now established that Wednesday’s police actions were connected, among other things, to the Iwona Wieczorek case. “The activities in Sopot also concerned another case from years ago, which is being handled by the Lesser Poland X Archives and the National Prosecutor’s Office,” informed prok. Calów-Jaszewska.
