Poland’s Institute of Educational Research (IBE) is finalizing new homework recommendations to replace April 2024 regulations after initial draft was rejected.
Initial Proposal Rejected
The Institute of Educational Research (IBE) first presented a proposal for changes to the April 2024 homework regulations between October and November. However, the document, which contained no significant substantive changes, was not accepted by experts from the team.
Revised Process Under Director’s Supervision
The recommendations were invalidated, and work restarted under the personal supervision of the IBE director. Maciej Jakubowski, head of IBE, informed DGP that the body is nearing completion of new recommendations.
Current Status and Timeline
IBE will conduct another round of consultations to prevent a repeat of the previous stage when someone claimed they had not seen the final version of the document. After receiving approval from all team members, the material will be sent to the Ministry of National Education. This is expected to happen in the coming days.
