New labeling aims to boost market transparency and help consumers choose local products, with EU regulations extending to jams, juices, honey and eggs.

New Regulations

These changes aim to increase market transparency and make it easier for consumers to consciously choose local products. The regulation also implements provisions of EU Directive 2024/1438 concerning the composition and labeling of honey, fruit jams, fruit juices and related products.

The new rules will be implemented in stages over the coming months.

Flags in shops and at market stalls will indicate fruits and vegetables.
