On March 11, the next stage of reconstruction begins on Grzybowska Street, with sidewalk closures and parking restrictions between John Paul II Avenue and Waliców Street.
Closed Sidewalk on One Side of Grzybowska
Workers will reconstruct the sidewalk closer to the roadway, on the side of the clinic and grocery store. The sidewalk next to the buildings will remain open at all times.
There will be no changes to pedestrian crossings at John Paul II Avenue and Waliców Street. Access to the crosswalk at the intersection with Ciepła Street will be narrowed.
Inactive Parking Bay
Road workers will also fence off the parking bay along the roadway. The number of lanes will not change.
About the Investment
On Grzybowska, between Towarowa Street and John Paul II Avenue, there will be two lanes with one lane of traffic each, and additional turn lanes will appear at intersections. From Towarowa to Karolkowa, there will be one roadway.
New sidewalks will be built on both sides of the street, and cyclists will benefit from dedicated paths or lanes marked on the roadway. Parking will be organized, and new bus stops will appear.
Green spaces with trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses will be created along the street. Gardeners will plant, among other things, over a hundred trees and thirteen thousand shrubs.
All work on Grzybowska will be completed in spring 2027.
